The Louisiana Department of Insurance (LDI) Office of Consumer Advocacy and Diversity will be sending staff to the Lake Charles Hurricane Recovery Expo. LDI staff will provide information on filing insurance claims, rebuilding after the storm and answering consumer questions about insurance.
In an effort to make assistance available for all residents, especially those who are displaced or are working during the regular weekday, LDI will be participating in this Saturday event. The Lake Charles Hurricane Recovery Expo on Nov. 7 is a drop-in event where consumers can get help without an appointment during open hours.
LDI staff also will be at the Lake Charles Resident Recovery Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2; Wednesday, Nov. 4; and Friday, Nov. 6. The Recovery Center is located at the Henry Heights Recreation Center at 801 East School Street in Lake Charles. The resource center has assisted more than 200 people with their insurance claims in recent weeks.
