Louisiana Insurance Commissioner Tim Temple Issues Statement Regarding LWCC Acquisition of Prescient National

"I congratulate LWCC on their announcement this morning that they are acquiring North Carolina-based Prescient National, an AM Best “A” rated workers’ comp carrier. As a private mutual insurance carrier, this transaction will help LWCC ensure stability and profitability for the benefit of their 18,000 Louisiana-based policyholders. The news that a Louisiana-based carrier is acquiring an out-of-state company will also help elevate Louisiana’s business reputation nationally."
